Ajay Devgn’s latest release Shaitaan has strengthened the superstar’s grip over the box office, the supernatural horror thriller film has got the audience hooked to their seats. But not many are aware that Ajay, who has been part of many successful films, had actually walked out of Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun.
It is being reported that for the reincarnation action drama Roshan’s original choice was Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn, they even had done a photo shoot for the film, but ultimately the film was completed with SRK and Salman Khan.The talk in the Bollywood corridors was such that SRKwanted to play Karan’s role and Ajay was keen on playing Arjun but Rakesh Roshan was adamant and both walked out. Then Roshan approached Aamir Khan and Salman Khan for the roles, but Aamir couldn’t accommodate the film as he had date issues and after seeing that Aamir had shown interest in the film, SRK came back into the film.
In fact, Ajay’s father, veteran action director Veeru Devgn who had also been roped in for the film, walked out of the film as he was upset that his son couldn’t do such a nice film.
Karan Arjun went on to be one of the biggest hits of the year.
