Last year Om Raut’s Adipursh starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh got involved in multiple controversies from its first show itself. Be it for its dialogues or visuals, the film faced a lot of flak.
Legendary actor and wrestler Dara Singh’s son Vindu has opened up about his take on the film. He has special connection with Ramayan since his father played the role of Hanuman in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic Ramanyan and too has played the same part in a TV show. Speaking to Siddharth Kannon, Vindu shared, “It was shocking to see how such a talented director and producer could make a mistake like this. If they wanted to pass on the buck to the kids, they should have at least shown the right things. The film was a mess, a huge mistake. I didn’t expect it.”

He also revealed that the actors who worked on the film told him that they had asked the director Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir to change the dialogues as they felt they were wrong. “But the makers didn’t do so as they believed they were making something exceptional. I am sure, they will not repeat a mistake like this again,” quipped the actor.
At the end of its theatrical run, ‘Adipurush’ earned Rs 393 crore worldwide.
