Almost a year after Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden introduced audiences to the ‘Citadel’ universe, Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan and South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu are all set to take over to bring the Indian instalment titled – ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’.
The actors set the internet abuzz with the release of the first poster for their upcoming web series.The new series, helmed by Raj and DK, will see the two making their debut in the super-spy genre. Nearly a year after first teasing fans with their character posters, Varun and Samantha dropped the title poster which also featured them bloodied and bruised as they lock aim in their super-spy avatars.

The series is touted to have a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the ’90s.
‘Honey Bunny’ is the Indian series within the Citadel universe. For those who watched the Priyanka starrer, will be aware of the connecting factor between the two sagas.
The series also stars Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in lead roles.
While the American version of the franchise is being helmed by the Russo Brothers, an Italian instalment of the series is also in the works with Matilda De Angelis in the lead.
