Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas moves shoot from Chitrakoot to Vrindavan studios – Exclusive – Times of India

Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas was being shot right next to the set of director Luv Ranjan’s film with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s film on the Chitrakoot Studio ground. It was widely reported how the raging fire on the Chitrakoot set left carnage with a life also being lost. After the unfortunate incident, producer of Merry Christmas, Ramesh Taurani has decided to move the shooting of his film from Chitrakoot to another location.

When ETimes contacted Taurani, he said, “The fire and police department has sealed the studio. We have dismantled the set from there and will be shooting our film at another studio.” The film will now be shot at Vrindavan studios based in Mumbai. Merry Christmas has Katrina Kaif and South actor Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead roles. The film is being shot on both live locations and sets in and around the city.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan the shooting of the film began in December 2021. Katrina had shared the announcement of the film on Instagram with a caption, “I’ve always wanted to work with Sriram Sir. He is a master when it comes to narratives that showcase thrillers and it’s an honor to be directed by him.” The film also features Vinay Pathak in a key role.
