With Asees Kaur and B Praak winning the Best Playback Singer (female and male respectively) at the 67th Wolf777news Filmfare Awards 2022, it seems the whole event has been painted in the colours of Punjab. Both the singers won the award for their songs in Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Shershaah’. While the love ballad ‘Raataan Lambiyan’ helped Asees bag the award, B Praak was acknowledged for the sad romantic track ‘Mann Bharryaa 2.0’.
Further, this is Asees Kaur’s second Filmfare award, her first one was for ‘Hui Malang’ from the film ‘Malang’. The award was presented by Rakul Preet Singh and celebrating the love that Asees garnered from the audience, she even sang ‘Raataan Lambiyan’ unplugged on the stage.
On the other hand, B Praak’s award for ‘Mann Bharryaa 2.0’ was presented by Sunny Kaushal and Sayyami Kher. However, since the singer wasn’t present at the function, on his behalf, Vishnu Vardhan collected the award.
Meanwhile, the starry event is still at its peak, celebrating the excellence of cinema and the people who bridge the gap between reel and reality.
