“They procured a car and a bike. The gangsters felt they could target him with a small weapon,” said special commissioner HGS Dhaliwal of Delhi police. During the interrogation, the gangsters also revealed that they gathered information about Salman Khan’s entourage, which included Shera. They also posed as fans of Salman Khan and befriended a guard at the actor’s Panvel farmhouse. They also studied Salman Khan’s movements at the farmhouse, which the actor had visited twice during the gangster’s stay, but they got the information very late. It has been revealed that the gang was targetting Salman for his involvement in the blackbuck poaching case, even before gunning down Moosewala. The Mumbai crime branch began probing this case after Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan received a threat letter during his usual walks at Bandra Bandstand.
Post the threat, Salman Khan also received a firearm license for self protection. “Actor Salman Khan has been issued an Arms license after he applied for a weapon license for self-protection in the backdrop of threat letters that he received recently,” said the Mumbai Police in an official statement.
