Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has done well in its third week at the box-office and that has largely got to do with the bumped up collections on Cinema day. The film has managed to clock in Rs 26.50crore nett in its week three and now the overall collection stands at Rs. 220 crore.

Interestingly, in the second week, the collections had seen a 50 percent but it picked up again in week three. But the collections of ‘Brahmastra’ is expected to have a fall today since two big films – ‘Ponniyin Selvan – 1’ and ‘Vikram Vedha’ release. With this, the film can be expected to have a lifetime total of about 230 crore nett as per boxofficeindia.com.

Meanwhile, ‘Vikram Vedha’ has had a dull start on Friday morning – almost close to ‘Shamshera’ but it has released in many more screens than the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer hence it’s expected to pick up over the weekend.

‘Vikram Vedha’ will be catering more the big city multiplexes despite being an action film and its fate will be depending on how they progress over the weekend. It is said that the film doesn’t have any music and owing to the Navratri, the footfalls will be affected at mass-centres.

Meanwhile the makers of ‘Brahmastra’ continue to launch new songs from the film, which is quite an attraction for the audience. The ‘Shiva’ them from the film was launched on Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday on September 28.
