Dhanush’s father reacts to the actor calling off his divorce with Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth – Times of India

Actor Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth decided to get separated after 18 years of marriage and the couple had announced their divorce in January. Dhanush’s statement read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting… Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this.”

Recently, the couple is making news again as rumours are rife that they aren’t getting separated. But Dhanush’s father, veteran director Kasthuri Raju has come out clear on these rumours. Raju was asked about it in an interview on Youtube for the magazine Ananda Vikatan. He refused to directly answer and just said that he wants his children to be happy.

Dhanush and Aishwarya tied the knot in 2004 and have two songs named Yatra Raja and Linga Raja.

Dhanush who was last seen in a Hindi project with ‘Atrangi Re’ is enjoying the success of his recent south release Naane Varuven and Thiruchitrambalam. He will be seen next in a drama called ‘Vaathi’ set to release in December. While one is yet to get an official confirmation on the rumoured patch-up, it will be a great news for all the fans if it’s true.
