Here’s why SS Rajamouli thinks ‘RRR’ became a global success – Times of India

‘RRR‘ just released in Japan and has been getting a roaring response there. This SS Rajamouli film which is one of the biggest hits in India this year, is being accepted with wide arms globally at the moment and the film-maker is also travelling across the world to promote it. Despite the fact that the film is so rooted in Indian culture, it’s doing well even internationally.

In an interview with Empire, Rajamouli shared the reason for this global success. He said that ‘RRR’s’ unapologetic heroism and its action sequences are the reason for the film’s thunderous success. Having said that, the reception for the film coming from Westerners is not something he expected.

Recently, Ramcharan and Jr NTR were also in Japan for its release and the actors were seen sharing some heartwarming videos from there.

Ramcharan with his wife Upasana, Jr NTR with his wife Lakshmi Pranathi and the entire team was seen walking hand in hand on the streets of Japan as Ramcharan shared. The ‘Dosti’ song from ‘RRR’ playing in the background further made this video a win!

Before Japan, Rajamouli was in USA and the film even got a great response there.

‘RRR’ will also be screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa this year which will be held in November.
