Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham took to their handles to officially drop the action-packed new trailer that gives us a gist of the story set to unfold. While the first trailer just saw SRK in action, this one sees the actor teaming up with Deepika to take down the villain played by John Abraham.

According to reports, 1.1 million tuned in to watch the trailer in the first 20 minutes of its release. Besides singing praise of SRK and his new action-hero avatar, Deepika’s role in the film also sparked off debate. After watching the second trailer, fans were seemingly convinced that she will play the real villain and not John.

The two-and-half minute-long trailer sees John Abraham on a mission to destroy ‘Bharat Maa’ but Pathaan aka India’s most trusted soldier SRK has been entrusted with the task to abort the mission. Deepika Padukone features as a woman of many faces as she joins forces with Pathaan to accomplish the mission. However, according to SRK’s tweet, “She is on a mission too!”
