‘Salman Khan would sulk, argue but he was never disrespectful,’ says Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan – Times of India

It was Ek Tha Tiger that brought Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan for the first time. The 2012 spy thriller went on to become a blockbuster, however, Salman and Kabir had lots of differences on the creative front. The director recently opened up about his equation with Salman and said that the superstar was never disrespectful towards him on the sets.
“I have had a good working relationship with him. I’ve really enjoyed the films I’ve made with him. He’s full of ideas, he would always come and give suggestions. I never looked at it as interference. I’m very happy that Salman Khan is thinking about what I’ve told him,” Kabir told Bollywood Hungama.

Kabir further said that there have been many times when he and Salman did not agree about things. They have argued and Salman would sulk. But either Kabir was able to convince Salman or vice versa.

The filmmaker said that he owes a lot to Salman adding that he wouldn’t have been where he is without the three movies that they have made together. For the uninitiated, Salman and Kabir have worked together in Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tubelight.

“Never in all our arguments — and that film was the one where we had the most arguments — did Salman take that position that, ‘Listen, I’m Salman Khan. I’ve made 50 blockbusters. You’ve made two films.’ And that’s an amazing quality to have. He would sulk, he would argue, but badtameezi kabhi nahi (he was never disrespectful),” Kabir said.
