In a news interview with a news portal, the actor-director said that when you are passionate about your work, you need to take care of yourself. Satish recalled Akshay Kumar’s words where he said, ‘if a person doesn’t have one hour for himself in a day, it’s all worthless’. According to him, the Khiladi star is very inspiring.
Elaborating further, Kaushik added that in order to keep doing good work, you need to keep yourself updated, reinvented and relevant. That can only happen if you look after yourself. According to him, he is on that trip and tries to keep himself fit. He also added that people often only focus only on mental wellbeing. However, we need to keep ourselves physically fit as well. It becomes your responsibility to maintain the image in which you are seen, the veteran actor told Hindustan Times.
Spilling some beans on bringing diversities in his work, Satish said that during their time, whichever was their first successful role, they would keep on getting the same roles. When Calendar became a hit, people thought he did good comedy and he started getting comic roles. The actor added that Anupam Kher is from his league, he got Saaransh first. If he would have got a film like Saaransh before, he would have been in a different line because people cast in those roles then.
The actor also added that he is lucky that he has started getting diverse roles in the last 4-5 years. His roles in Udta Punjab, Soorma, Chhalaang or Guilty Minds, Scam 1992 are totally opposite roles. His character of Lamba in Chhatriwali is not a comedian but the owner of a condom company and he has done it in a very realistic way. In his next film, Kaagaz 2, he plays a victim who is simple and vulnerable.
