Fans cheer and dance as ‘Jab We Met’ re-releases in theatres, Shahid Kapoor calls it ‘too special’ – Times of India



Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Jab We Met’ released in theatres on the occasion of Valentine’s week. The popular romantic film is being showcased in theatres across the country and videos from the screening are being shared online.
A clip shared on Twitter featured fans hooting and cheering as Shahid and Kareena’s song ‘Mauja hi Mauja’ from the film was being played on the big screen. Fans were even seen recreating the couple’s iconic dance moves from the movie. “After almost 16yrs #JabWeMet in #ValentinesWeek is running housefull without any promotions in social media, speaks volume of a cult romantic comedy. @shahidkapoor bro do check reactions of public in theatre, u will love it,” read a tweet which shared the video. Reacting to the same, Shahid wrote, “Too special”. Another video featured fans hooting and whistling as Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor’s iconic kissing scene played onscreen.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, ‘Jab We Met’ released in theatres in 2007. The romantic entertainer was massively loved by the audience. Recently, Kareena had jokingly said how her iconic role of Geet had set new trends. The actress had shared on a show, “Mere Geet play karne ke baad harem pants ki sale aur Indian Railways ki revenue, dono badh gayi hai by the way (After I played Geet, the sale of harem pants and revenues of Indian Railways both have increased by the way).”
