Sunny Kaushal says his mother was happy when his character in ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’ was beaten up – Times of India

Sunny Kaushal was recently seen in ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’ which released on March 25 on OTT and it became a hit worldwide as it was among the top 10 most watched films on the platform. It starred Yami Gautam alongside Sunny. His character in the movie had negative shades which is why Sunny says his mother was angry seeing him in the film.
In an interview, Sunny has spoken about how his family reacted to the film. He revealed that they absolutely loved it because Sunny had not told them what will happen in the film. He said, his mother especially loved the movie and the fact that Ankit (Sunny’s character) was beaten up in the film. She was really angry at my character, he laughed.

While Sunny can pull off a negative character like a pro, he revealed in an interview with ETimes that he also loves action. His father Sham Kaushal is one of the topmost action directors in the country. He had expressed, “I love action and it is not because it is in my blood. I was fortunate enough to work with Dad on the web show The Forgotten Army- Azaadi Ke Liye, which was directed by Kabir Khan. It was a complete action oriented show with elaborate war sequences. The way dad approaches action is that you will hit someone when you have reached that point of anger. How affected are you that you can pick a gun or hit a person with your hands, without emotions, action has no meaning. So as an actor I love the fact that I can bring out so much emotion with my physicality during action. And it was during ‘Forgotten Army’ that I realized that I love emotions wherein I have to give my 100 percent. So I would love to do a lot of action films and web shows with action.”
Sunny also revealed in an interview that Yami and him both have been busy shooting hence, they’ve not been able to celebrate. Meanwhile, Yami was seen performing a pooja with husband Aditya Dhar to celebrate the film’s success.
