Producer Dinesh Vijan announces Bhediya 2 and Stree 2 as part of horror universe – Times of India

In an environment wherein it has become difficult to get audiences to the theatres, sequels are the safest and the best way to move ahead.
The latest to join the sequels bandwagon is Stree and Bhediya.

Stree 2 brings back the starcast of Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee. The seed for this sequel were sown in the entire credit sequence of Bhediya with Abhishek Banerjee being the common link. The film is slated to release on 31st August 2024. Whilst Bhediya brings back Varun Dhawan in the titular role which is slated to release in 2025.

The idea is to create a horror universe with the sequels. Till now it is now sure if both the films have a crossover. Also it is not confirmed if Kriti Sanon will be seen in Bhediya 2.
