Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan box office collection day 1: Salman Khan starrer earns Rs 15 crore on opening day – Times of India

Salman Khan kept his Eid date with fans this year with ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which hit the screens on Friday. Despite his track record of delivering hits on Eid, this one doesn’t seem to have struck a chord with the audience.
‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ has performed well in certain mass circuits, but has scored low in metro cities. The film is getting major profits from UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and Nizam / Andhra and the collection is expected to be around Rs 14 crore nett. However, according to a news portal, if Maharashtra and Gujarat contribute positively to the business, then ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is expected to score Rs 15 crore nett on first day. Salman Khan’s past Eid releases had scored big on the first day, ‘Bharat’ had earned Rs 41 crore nett, while ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had raked in around Rs 26 crore nett on its opening day.

Directed by Farhad Samji, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari and several others. ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is said to be a remake of Tamil film ‘Veeram’. Speaking about the same, Farhad had told ETimes, “I wouldn’t call it a remake. Nor would I call it an adaptation. I would say it is a completely new experience. We’ve made our film as we thought it should be made. Those who have seen Veeram would see our film as an independent experience.”
