Priyanka Chopra says she won’t be sidelined in Hollywood, reveals she didn’t audition for ‘Citadel’ – Times of India

Priyanka Chopra, who will soon be seen in Joe and Anthony Russo’s Citadel, insists that she won’t be ‘sidelined’ in Hollywood because she is a good actor. She also revealed that she didn’t have to give audition for ‘Citadel’. However, Priyanka is confident that even if she had to give audition she would have been selected for the role.
During a recent interview with a media outlet, Priyanka also shed light on the Indian representation in Hollywood films. She said that in India more than a thousand movies are being made every year. Even Indian technicians are being hired by Hollywood to work on several projects. This is happening because Indians are good at their job but she doesn’t have any clue about why they are being sidelined.

While commenting on how she bagged the role in ‘Citadel’, Priyanka explained why she didn’t have to give an audition. She said that an actor like her, who has been a leading lady in Bollywood for years, knows her job well and won’t be sidelined even if she has to appear for an audition. The popular actor is quite confident that she will win the job just like she did for ‘Quantico’ because she isn’t under-confident.
Priyanka further said there should be more opportunities for Indians all over the world and she is trying to facilitate the same in Hollywood. The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actor claimed that she is developing several shows in Hollywood which not only have Indian faces onscreen but also appoint Indians behind the camera, as writers and directors. She also wants to influx Hollywood with brown faces because she knows how talented Indians are and how much they deserve to be on the world stage.
