‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ box office collection day 6: The Salman Khan starrer sees a drop further as Eid period ends – Times of India

‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ (KBKJ) which released a day prior to Eid, on Friday, April 21 did a decent business over the weekend. The numbers on Saturday and Sunday touched up to Rs 20 crore each. The film also sustained well on Monday but the Tuesday and Wednesday collections have seen a major drop.
On its Day 6, Wednesday, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ saw another drop of around 30 percent. The collection came down to Rs 4.25 crore as per trade website boxofficeindia.com. Some singles screens and Muslim centres in UP are still performing very well, however, they’ve not added up to the overall collections largely. While the film is expected to see a fall even in the coming days, the upcoming Friday numbers along with the second weekend will be pivotal.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan Review
At the moment, the film is having a similar feel that ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ had, in terms of its collections because both have been average fares. With this Wednesday collection added, the total number of KBKJ so far is Rs 82.25 crore. This means that the film might end up getting the status of an average success as it’s still struggling to reach the 100 crore mark. It will be called average even if it manages to sustain over the next two-three weeks.

As per trade, this is quite disappointing as a Salman starrer which released on Eid hasn’t performed up to the mark. While the upcoming weekend collections will play a crucial role in determining the film’s fate, Friday sees the release of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ which might be expected to pose as a competition to it, especially in the southern areas.
