The series, touted to be the first-of-its-kind global spy franchise, launches a series of interconnected web series with an Italian instalment and an Indian instalment currently in the works. The series debuted on Friday morning amidst much hype and anticipation. Several fans tuned in to “just to see Richard’s face” and others tweeted, “Priyanka Chopra for James Bond.”
Fans could all agree that the chemistry between Priyanka and Richard was one of the best features of the show. A fan tweeted, “Both of them together, hot stuff!”

I liked Citadel on prime. Priyanka just crushed it. I saw some hate reviews and not sure what people were expecting

“Citadel is of the worst things I’ve ever seen. A $300 million show that no one will even remember exists in two months,” read a viral tweet.
Another said, “Feels like cameras rolled on a rough treatment with placeholder dialogue. After credits, each episode is only 30 minutes long. Richard Madden can’t do an American accent to save his life. A $300 million debacle.”
