The Special CBI Court gave a final verdict in Jiah Khan‘s case and one of the key accused, Sooraj Pancholi was acquitted in the charge of abetment to suicide. Jiah’s mother Rabia gave a strong reaction to the judgment and said, “It went as per my anticipation because it was never a case of abetment to suicide. That whole façade is over. The funny thing is that the agencies who put charges had no evidence to prove them. I was saying from the beginning that it’s a murder. Now it has given me a platform to go and again present all the evidence that I had given to both agencies to now look at the cause of my daughter’s death. Because the cause of death is not yet established.”
Rabia confessed that she’s not disappointed. She revealed, “I think the honourable Court has done exactly what it should have. That gives me a clean pass to go and fight harder. Once the cause of death will be established, who did it, and how he did it is their job to find out.”

Jiah’s mother added, “Now the fight will be better and easier. I have to start working with my team. I am happy suicide case is over. Now real cause of death needs to be established. Real cause of Jiah’s death is pending.”
When members of the media had reminded Rabia that she can still appeal the verdict in two higher courts she had quipped, “If there are four more courts, I will file an appeal in all four.”
