In December 2022, director Rohit Shetty had confirmed that he will introduce Deepika Padukone as lady Singham in the franchise’s upcoming film. “In the next film we are making in the Singham universe, Deepika will be seen as lady Singham. She is my lady cop in Singham Again. We are working together next year,” Rohit had confirmed. ‘Singham Again’ will be driven by star power with Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone sharing the frame. Rohit Shetty began this successful cop universe in 2011 with ‘Singham’, post which he released ‘Singham Returns’ in 2014 and followed it up with spin-offs, Ranveer Singh starrer ‘Simmba’ (2018), and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Sooryavanshi’ (2021).
