Shah Rukh Khan‘s upcoming film, ‘Jawan’ with South director Atlee has been in the buzz ever since its announcement. According to the latest update, the film is said to be inspired by Kama Haasan’s ‘Oru Kaidhiyin Diary’.
According to a report in a news portal, Jawan, is inspired by superhits of two Indian cinema legends—Amitabh Bachchan’s Aakhree Raasta (1986), which was an adaptation of Kamal Haasan’s ‘Oru Kaidhiyin Diary’. Both the iconic movies featured the superstars in double roles, of father and son, with revenge as its basic plot.

The report stated that SRK too plays the father and son in the upcoming commercial entertainer, which has similar conflict points. Apparently, Atlee is a huge fan of Kamal and wishes to give the ’80s hit his own twist and treatment.
However, nothing has been officially announced as yet. The upcoming trailer in the coming weeks will confirm whether ‘Jawan’ is an adaptation or a tribute to the yesteryear hits.
‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Sanya Malhotra in key roles. The makers have also reportedly roped in ‘Pushpa’ star Allu Arjun for a special cameo in the movie.
