Kangana Ranaut recalls how Anurag Basu trained her for ‘Life In A Metro’; says she was told actresses have a shelf life of 4-5 years – Times of India


Kangana Ranaut treated her fans on Instagram with a throwback photo of herself with director Anurag Basu from the sets of ‘Life In A Metro’.

Dressed in a black and white mini dress, Kangana is seen talking to the filmmaker in the photo. Anurag, on the other hand, wore a white shirt and blue denims. Captioning the photo, she wrote, ‘All thanks to this mad genius @anuragbasuofficial who launched me 17 years ago on 28th April 2006 here is a picture of him and me from life in a metro set (2006) this is how he trained me…. ‘Tu chup kar’ is his favourite training phrase…ha ha I love you Anu…thanks for everything.” She also added, “I was told actresses have 4-5 years shelf life… Well, I completed 17 years yesterday… ‘

‘Life In A Metro’ also starred actors like Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sensharma, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles.

Kangana will next be seen in P Vasu’s ‘Chandramukhi 2’. She also has projects like, ‘Tejas’, ‘Emergency’, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’ and ‘The Incarnation: Sita’ in her kitty.
