Kareena Kapoor feels she nailed her character in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara but people only talk about Saif Ali Khan’s Langda Tyagi | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



Kareena Kapoor Khan has left a grave impression in the minds of her audience with her characters like ‘Poo‘ from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘Geet‘ from ‘Jab We Met‘. So much so, that the actress feels the audience now refuses to realise her versatility.
In an interview with Indian Express, Kareena said that Poo and Geet are the two characters she is most associated with.According to her, in a way, it has not allowed the audience to know her versatility. However, directors have. She points out that she has worked with filmmakers likeVishal Bhardwaj, Govind Nihalani, Mani Ratnam, down to her last film, ‘Laal Singh Chadha’, where she tried to prove and break away from this whole pop culture, and the pout.

The actress also went on to share that they experimented with roles right from when she was 21 when she did Chameli. However, people still want to go back to Poo or Geet. Kareena also added that she did ‘Omkara’ even won awards for it, and it was a role she feels she nailed. However, when people talk about Omkara, it is just about Langda Tyagi (played by Saif Ali Khan).

Kareena also shared that she often asks Saif why people only associate her with Poo or Geet, and he said that “When people look at your face, they go back to, ‘She must be like that (like Poo or Geet) as a person.’” Kareena has started to believe that everyone thinks Poo and Geet means Bebo.
On the work front, she recently made her digital debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Jaane Jaan‘ co-starring Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. Next, she will be seen in ‘The Crew’ with Kriti Sanon and Tabu in lead roles. She also has Hansal Mehta’s next in her kitty.
