Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Karan Johar has always been vocal about his sexuality. In an interview with Nikhil Taneja, Karan revealed how he once pretended to have a girlfriend back in the 10th standard in school.
Elaborating further, Karan added that he pretended to be in love with a girl, who was a Head Girl. In 10th standard, every boy was crushing on the girl and the filmmaker admitted he felt he should also join this bandwagon and start crushing on her.
KJo revealed that he gave her a card, not a rose, on Rose Day. She took his card and then called him. And maybe, she was his first reality check. Karan added that he exchanged (Valentine’s Day) gifts, but for all the wrong reasons – to be cool.
Karan had admitted in his memoir An Unsuitable Boy that the first and the last girl he had a crush on was childhood friend, former actor, and author Twinkle Khanna.
Meanwhile, Karan recently marked the 25th anniversary of his directorial debut, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Kajol.
