In 2013, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Anushka Sharma opened up about rumours about her alleged cold war with Deepika Padukone. The ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ stated that she is here to work and not indulge in fights.She added that she is happy with what she is doing and she would be happy with her life. She dismissed all reports around them as false.
The actress explained that it’s all like a domino effect; just to cook up a story. She added that there would be a series of lies to gossip about her. According to her, basically, it’s wrong the way women are perceived in this industry.
On the work front, Anushka Sharma is now gearing up for ‘Chakda Xpress‘, which is based on the life of celebrated Indian woman cricketer Jhulan Goswami and her struggles. This biographical sports drama is helmed by Prosit Roy and produced by Anushka’s brother Karnesh Sharma.
On the other hand, Deepika who got a lot of love for her cameo in ‘Jawan‘, will be seen next in ‘Fighter’. The film is set to release in January 2024 and sees DP pairing up with Hrithik Roshan for the first time.
