Meanwhile, SRK decided to spend his birthday with fans today at an event in the city. He showed them the first drop of ‘Dunki‘ along with director Rajkumar Hirani and also answered some fan questions. When he was asked about ‘Jawan 2’, here’s what he had to say! “It’s very easy for me to make ‘Jawan 2’. Main abhi Atlee ko call karunga aur hum banaa lenge. Usko kya bolte hai? Franchise film! (I can call Atlee right away and we can make ‘Jawan’ into a franchise). But I don’t want to do that. I want to make new kind of movies, and play new characters for all of you. A film like ‘Dunki’ will speak volumes to you and entertain you so much! As a matter of fact, I do feel that it will entertain more than ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan,'” said SRK to his fans.
Shah Rukh further spoke about ‘Dunki’ and said that the upcoming drops will say a lot more about the movie and the characters. “Raju sir clear the ke pehle hamari film ki duniya sabko dikhaai de. Main usmein kya kar raha hoon, ya Taapsee kya kar rahi hai, woh sab hum dheere dheere dikhaaye. Toh main ismein kya kar raha hoon woh baadmein pataa chalega magar kaafi accha kar raha hoon (Raju sir was very clear that in the first drop, our film’s world is shown to the people. What each character is doing, is something we want to show later to people. So, what Taapsee is doing or what I’m doing is something you will discover later, but I’m doing quite good in the movie).
The actor also said that in a Raju Hirani film, there’s no lead actor. The script is the main lead. ‘Dunki’ is set to release on December 22.
