Tiger 3 box office advance collections Day 2: Salman Khan starrer to sees a drop in numbers on Monday owing to extended Diwali weekend | Hindi Movie News – Times of India



Superstar Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 may have been off to a roaring start at the box office, but according to reports, the film may see a drop in numbers on its second day owing to low advance bookings.
Despite the extended Diwali weekend, the film is reportedly lagging behind the records set by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaanreleased early this year.According to Sacnilk.com, the film’s advance is low considering it is a big movie and also enjoys the benefit of a festival weekend. A lot will now be riding on how much the film can make through its spot bookings across the country.

According to the report, the film sold an estimated 635,430 tickets through advance sales, recording a collection of Rs 17.48 crore. This is still less as compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan which sold an estimated 748,806 tickets in advance sales and earned Rs 21.62 crore.

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 is heading for an outstanding first day as collections are set to be around Rs 42 crore nett. According to boxofficeindia.com, the collections are slowing in the evening and night because of the Diwali Puja. Besides festivities on in peoples’ homes, only that there are cinemas which shut up shop early on Laxmi Puja day.
The Yash Raj Films project, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is a sequel to the 2017 film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai‘ and releases on November 12. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
