The renowned actor Suniel Shetty recently opened up about his dancing struggles despite featuring in popular dance numbers like ‘Sundara sundara’, ‘Sheher ki ladki’, ‘Jhanjhariya’.
In an interview with ANI, he admitted to having ‘two left feet’ but cleverly managed his dance routines. He revealed that female co-stars had to patiently wait on set while he perfected his moves, often taking up to an hour for just one step.Rather than focusing on intricate steps, Suniel emphasized to choreographers the importance of style and body language. He humorously confessed that he always used to tell the choreographers not to make him dance so both will act like fools. Describing his dance style as ‘more aerobics,’ he modestly acknowledged that today’s actors are far superior dancers.
Recounting his initial struggles, Suniel shared that he used to feel embarrassed during rehearsals, often refusing to practice. He preferred doing the steps alone and would call in his co-stars only when necessary, swiftly moving on once the director approved. His reasoning was simple: how would they know that it is left or right?

Shifting gears to his acting career, Suniel recalled facing criticism for his performance in his debut film ‘Balwan.’ While the comments initially hurt, he later understood that he hadn’t undergone formal acting training. Despite the setbacks, he found his unique selling proposition (USP) in performing ‘death-defying stunts.’
Acknowledging the lack of acting classes due to a packed schedule, Suniel decided to stand out through his daring stunt work. In a previous interview with Nikhil Kamath, he mentioned performing his own stunts in the 1990s.
