Vicky Kaushal, who was last seen in the film ‘Sam Bahadur‘, is now gearing up for his next major project, ‘Dunki‘, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the makers were recently in Dubai for their promotional activity.
Speaking about Rajkumar Hirani during the event in Dubai, SRK said that he is the best director in the country. They all respect him, love him, and need to give the love back because he gives us so much love through his cinemas.’Dunki’ marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani. Hirani has previously given blockbuster hits like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’, ‘Sanju’ and the ‘Munna Bhai’ franchise.
Shah Rukh also praises Vicky Kaushal and says that Vicky is a great friend. Khan personally feels Kaushal is one of the finest actors he has worked with. “When you see Vicky Kaushal in Dunki, you will fall in love with him,” SRK said. Sharukh further added that Vicky has done very very well and he got to learn a lot from him.
‘Dunki’ also stars Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. It tells the story of four friends hailing from a village in Punjab who share a common dream to go to England. However, they don’t have visas or tickets. In the film, Shah Rukh Khan takes on the character of Hardayal Singh Dhillon. It is scheduled to be released on December 21 and will clash with Prabhas’s film ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’.
