Bollywood actress Richa Chadha talked about her acting journey. She has impressed in her role in numerous famous movies such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur‘, ‘Masaan’, and ‘Love Sonia’. Interestingly, the actor revealed that once she was offered the role of actor Hrithik Roshan’s mother.
In a recent media interaction, Richa shared an incident when she was 21 years old and how someone had informed a casting director that she did a good job of playing an elderly woman.So a director immediately offered her the part without giving it any thought. Emphasising the impact on both young and older actors. The actress said that such casting directors not only harm a young actor but are also taking away an older actor’s part, which is already diminishing.
Richa talked about a similar experience in her film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, where she portrayed an older character. In this Anurag Kashyap’s film, the narrative spanned 30–40 years into the future, and multiple characters, including Piyush Mishra, Huma Qureshi, and Manoj Bajpayee, aged within the storyline.
On the professional front, Richa Chadha was last seen in the comedy film ‘Fukrey 3’, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment. The film, a sequel to the 2017 movie ‘Fukrey Returns’, also stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
