Legal battle unfolds as ATTRAKT takes former FIFTY FIFTY members to court over contract termination | K-pop Movie News – Times of India

In a recent development, ATTRAKT has taken legal action, filing a lawsuit seeking compensation for damages against three former members of FIFTY FIFTY and others involved in the allegedly unfair termination of their exclusive contracts.

On December 19, according to Korean Standard Time (KST), a representative from ATTRAKT revealed, “We have filed a civil lawsuit seeking compensation for damages and penalties against the three former members of FIFTY FIFTY, Saena, Sio, and Aran, for their violation of exclusive contracts.

We have also filed a lawsuit for compensation for damages resulting from their joint illegal acts against The Givers, Ahn Seong Il,Baek Jin Sil, and the parents of the three members who actively participated in the unfair termination of exclusive contracts.”
The claimed damages and penalties by ATTRAKT reportedly reach into the tens of billions of won. However, it’s worth noting that the lawsuit has been filed with specific partial claims at the complaint submission stage, leaving room for potential adjustments during the legal proceedings.

Attorney Park Jae Hyun from the law firm Lee & Ko, representing this case, expressed, “We will do our best to carry out the lawsuit, keeping in mind that this lawsuit can be an important opportunity to establish a fair trade order in the entertainment field beyond simple recovery of damages.” This legal action marks a significant step in addressing contract disputes in the entertainment field, emphasizing the importance of fair practices in the industry.
