‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’ box office clash
Prabhas and Shah Rukh Khan locked horns at the box office as their films ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’ respectively released back to back on December 22 and 21 respectively. Although the buzz for both the films was high prior to the release, the response that the Prabhas starrer has been receiving has been more than the Shah Ruh Khan starrer at the box office. While Dunki collected Rs 30 crore on the first day of its release, Salaar collected Rs 95 crore on its opening day. Dunki also witnessed a considerable drop on its second day.
The outcome of ‘Dunki’ in its opening weekend is still uncertain, and it remains to be seen if the film can recover and achieve a respectable total at the box office, especially considering the formidable competition from Prabhas’ film.
