Rodgers made headlines when he made the controversial claim that Kimmel’s name might be among the many celebrity names that appear on the disgraced millionaire’s list of clients. The controversial claim was made by Rodgers during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show this week.
Expressing his anger over Rodgers’ statement, Kimmel took to Twitter to set the record straight. He firmly stated, “Dear A**hole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”
Rodgers had remarked on The Pat McAfee Show, suggesting that the revelation of names on the Epstein list, including Kimmel’s, would be met with celebration. “There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping that doesn’t come out,” Rodgers said. “I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle,” Just Jared reported.
Epstein passed away in prison in August 2019, leaving behind a trove of legal documents that include the names of 187 individuals. A New York judge is set to unseal these documents this week, unveiling a list that has already sparked public curiosity with some anticipated names.
Reports on Fox News claimed that the infamous list could include the names of celebrities besides some top political figures. The report alleges that Kevin Spacey‘s may appear on the list as he was a passenger on Epstein’s plane. Actor Chris Tucker was also once aboard Epstein’s plane, according to former pilot Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. who took the stand in the Ghislaine Maxwell sex-trafficking trial.
