Jin of BTS shared a special pre-recorded video for the ARMY, wishing them a blissful 2024 and requesting them to be patient as he finished the last few months of his mandatory military service.
“Ta-da everyone! Hello! Seok-jin came to say hi for the new year. It’s January, everyone. The new year has come. I will become a year older in January. I’d be in my mid-30s by now,” Jin stated, hinting that he had shot the video around his birthday on December 4.

Wishing fans a happy winter, he added, “Did you all make a snowman? I’m still in the past so I don’t know if it’s snowing or not, but if it snowed, you have to make a snowman … and go back to being kids and do snowball fights. What else can you make with snow? You could also go skiing. I’m good at snowboarding, remember? Everytime you go skiing, please think about me. Don’t catch [a] cold. It’d be really cold in January.”
Concluding that he will be back soon from the military service, Jin concluded, “I’m leaving this video so you can watch my pretty, handsome face and spend January and February warmly. I miss you all. I miss you a lot. Guys, please wait a few more months. Now that it’s the new year, we have a few months left. Make a lot of snowmen and think of me as you make them.”
Jin, also known as Kim Seokjin, started his military service on December 13, 2022 and is expected to return on June 12th, 2024.
