On Mental Health Day last year, several celebrities championed the importance of therapy and seeking professional help to tackle mental health problems. Aamir Khan shared how he benefited from therapy, along with his daughter Ira Khan; Karan Johar spoke about his struggles with anxiety; and Hrithik Roshan also opened up about how therapy helped him in various ways.
In an old Instagram post, Hrithik wrote, “Today is mental health day. I just want to say that I wouldn’t be here making each day count, being productive, being kind (to myself too), being at peace, taking on challenges, and getting better at work, at life, and at living if it weren’t for the years I have put into therapy. Working on oneself and on one’s inner world is precious. My wish is for all of us to learn how to look inside. Become a community of aware adults. And just by doing that, we’d be changing the world”.

Earlier, Hrithik also talked about how doctors had restricted him from doing action or dance films and said that before the release of ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ doctors had told him that his health was not so good that he could do action films and dance films. He took this diagnosis as a challenge and focused on his health and fitness. He learned how to do his work to the best of his abilities and he is just happy to be here standing in front of people today. It is nothing short of a miracle for him that in his 25th film, he is still doing action and he is still dancing and he is still able to say his dialogues. The actor thinks the 21-year-old would be very proud of him, today.
