However, Reliance approached him with a Tamil film on DVD during the promotion of ‘Golmaal 3.’ After watching the film, he saw the potential to create a good action film by adapting the basic character, especially after the success of ‘Wanted,’ feeling confident in venturing into mass entertainment.
He continued by sharing that he conveyed the basic idea to Ajay Devgn, expressing his desire to undertake the project. Ajay’s initial response was skeptical, questioning if the director would actually make it. However, the director assured him that they could utilize the upcoming four and a half months when Ajay had no other commitments. The decision was made in October-November, and Ajay, who was heading to London for another project, began shooting there. The director advised him to start working on his physique and just shave off his beard, without revealing the entire script to him at that point.

Undeterred, he started shooting at 7 o’clock that same morning, showcasing his strong commitment to the project.
Released in 2011, the film narrates the story of Bajirao Singham, a courageous and upright police officer dedicated to combating injustice. The plot unfolds as Singham encounters a corrupt politician named Jaikant Shikre and resolves to impart a lesson to him. The movie’s ensemble cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Prakash Raj, Sudhanshu Pandey, Govind Namdev, among others.
