When Prasanth Varma and Tejja Sajja united for the modern re-telling of the epic story of Lord Hanuman, not many were expecting the kind of box office it is currently experiencing. ‘Hanu Man‘ in its first week itself was able to beat ‘Guntur Kaaram‘, the juggernaut of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram who released their film on the same day. Though Mahesh Babu’s film took a fantastic lead but with each passing day it kept losing steam and ‘Hanu Man’ witnessed an upward trend with fabulous word of mouth publicity.
‘Hanu Man’ has just entered its third week and is all set to cross the $5 million mark. After minting about $3 million in the first four days, the film added another $1.7 million to its kitty in 11 days, taking the 15 day total to $4,824,909.
On Saturday, ‘Hanu Man’ added another $137,413 from 178 locations, taking the grand total of the film to $ 4962322. The film is currently facing competition from Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter’, which in three days has collected about $3 million, making it one of the biggest openings for Hrithik Roshan in the territory.
