EXO’s Chanyeol is gearing up for an exciting return to the small screen with his upcoming role in the anticipated series ‘The Frog’. News broke on February 7, as media outlets buzzed with reports of Chanyeol’s involvement in the mystery thriller. Confirming the speculation, SM Entertainment swiftly responded, “It is true that Chanyeol will star in the Netflix series ‘The Frog‘”.
The drama promises an intriguing narrative, weaving together the lives of two pension owners existing in different timelines. Yoon Kye Sang takes on the role of Gu Sang Jun, a motel proprietor from the past, while Kim Yun Seok portrays Jeon Yeong Ha, a pension owner in the present. As similar incidents unfold for both men, their disparate choices lead to divergent paths. Joining the stellar cast are Go Min Si and Lee Jung Eun, adding depth to the ensemble.
Chanyeol’s character is shrouded in mystery, with details hinting at his pivotal role in driving the narrative forward. This marks a significant step for Chanyeol, who made his acting debut in 2015 with ‘Salut d’Amour’ and has since showcased his talent in various films such as ‘Missing 9’, ‘The Box’, and the Chinese adaptation of ‘So I Married My Anti-Fan’.
