Expectations are running high for the release of ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya‘. The Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer is gearing up for its big release this Friday and going by the numbers, it could just be off to a promising start.
The film currently has an all-India advance collection of Rs 93.4 lakh, states a report on Sacnilk.com. The rom-com has sold an estimated 43,114 tickets across 7,185 shows.Maharashtra is turning out to be the biggest market for the film with a collection of Rs 39.49 lakh. This is followed close behind by Delhi which reported an advance collection of Rs 31.51 lakh. UP and the Gujarat markets have tied in third place with collections of Rs 16 lakh each.
It must be noted that these numbers reported are just the early estimates and that ticket sales are expected to go up through the day. The sci-fi rom-com comes in time for the Valentine’s week. Interestingly, it is a solo Hindi release. It will have an estimated 5-day headstart at the box office before it faces some competition with the release of the Hollywood superhero film ‘Madame Web‘. The Dakota Johnson starrer is one of the few superhero movies releasing this year. It is touted to be a spin-off to Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man’ series. While the buzz around the movie is low, it remains to be seen if it will play a big role in the future of MCU projects.Meanwhile, on the international front, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is expected to make a splash at the box office. The film will enjoy a wide release, on par with Shah Rukh Khan‘s ‘Dunki’ and Hrithik Roshan‘s ‘Fighter’. The film is also hoping to make a splash in Australia and New Zealand.
