Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Stays Steady on Second Tuesday; Mints Rs 2.10 Crore | – Times of India

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was the third major release of the year after Katrina Kaif’s Merry Christmas and Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter. And post the success of last year’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, it was the first love story to make its way to the big screen. The film carried a lot of expectations as it had a lot of things going for it, right from the fabulous music and dance videos, to chemistry between the actors and a ‘big idea’ for a love story.

However, the film only managed to collect just Rs 44.5 crore in its first week.It began on an underwhelming note as on Friday, it minted only Rs 6.7 crore with Saturday and Sunday showing a spike to collect Rs 9.65 and Rs 10.75 cr respectively. It then dropped majorly on Monday and picked again on Tuesday which was Valentine’s Day, to collect Rs 6.5 crore. The film again dropped on Friday, which was its second week, and collected Rs 2.85 crore and spiked again on Saturday and Sunday to collect Rs 5 and Rs 6 crore respectively. The roller coaster ride continued for the film as it dropped to Rs 2.25 crore on 2nd Monday, and Tuesday it stayed steady to collect Rs 2.10 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 62.55 crore
The film will face major competition this Friday onwards, as Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar’s film Article 370 is releasing, which even PM Narendra Modi mentioned in his speech recently. And it also has Varun Grover’s All India Rank which is coming on close heels of the success of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail and also the adrenaline pumping Crakk..
