Shah Rukh Khan and actor-producer Vivek Vaswani share a good bond with each other. The latter helped SRK to start a career in Bollywood and even allowed him to stay at his place during a struggling period in the actor’s life. But recently, Vivek revealed that the duo has been in ‘no’ contact for the last four years.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vivek shared that he could not meet SRK after his birthday party that happened four years ago.“We do not meet, we don’t talk, we don’t even have a relationship,” Vivek said. But whenever they meet, it never reflects these years in between. While talking about the gap, he mentioned that he is a teacher and a dean who has to work 18 hours a day and he commutes by bus, local train, so there is no possibility of meeting a superstar like SRK.
Vivek met SRK at the actor’s birthday party at Mannat in 2018 for the last time. He recollected the incident where SRK asked him to come and meet his kids. He called it a fun party where they were so good to each other. At that party, Shah Rukh introduced him to Aanand L Rai, saying that he never asked for any help from the superstar. ‘He pointed towards the party and said, “Anand Bhai, Do you see all these people, everyone owes me, I have given someone a car, someone a flat. But this man (Vivek) hasn’t taken a cup of tea from me yet,” Vivek quoted SRK. While sharing about why he did not call the superstar even after facing a hard time battling cancer, Vivek said that he missed his call one day. “SRK has 17 phones, and I have one number. I called him after Jawan, but he didn’t pick up. When I was in the shower, he called back but I could not answer. He travels all the time and has a lot of responsibilities. He runs an empire, so I am okay,” Vivek revealed.

Their last collaboration was in 2010 for ‘Dulha Mil Gaya,’ and he even likes to direct or produce a film with SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan. He said in the same interview that Suhana has tremendous potential, more than any other actress, and Shah Rukh Khan would not say no to him if he wants to cast her in a film.
