Shahid Kapoor reveals why he quit smoking: ‘I would hide from my daughter’ | – Times of India

Shahid Kapoor is getting immense love for his recent performance in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. He returned to the romcom genre after a while and fans loved him in this avatar again as he also danced on screen nearly after eight years. Shahid has come a long way, even in his personal life apart from being evolved professionally. The actor is making sure to cherish time with his wife and kids despite his professional commitments. He’s a doting dad indeed and here’s another testament to that.
The ‘Kabir Singh’ actor revealed on Neha Dhupia’s show ‘No Filter Neha’ that he used to smoke but now he’s quit it. He told Neha, “When I used to smoke, I would hide from my daughter and smoke. That is actually the reason I gave it up; one day, while I was hiding and having my smoke, I told myself that I am not going to do this forever and that is actually the day I decided to quit smoking as I didn’t want to hide it from my daughter Misha anymore.”
Shahid got married to Mira Rajput in 2015 and it was an arranged marriage set-up. They have two kids. While their daughter Misha is 7 years old, their son Zain Kapoor is four years old. As his kids were growing up, Shahid recently shifted his house as he was looking for a bigger, quieter space.
From his Juhu home, Shahid has now shifted to a huge apartment in Worli, right before the sea link begins. On work front, post ‘TBMAUJ’, Shahid will be seen next in ‘Deva’, which will hit the screens on October 11, 2024. It is directed by Rosshan Andrrews.
