“Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, marked the third major release of the year after Katrina Kaif’s “Merry Christmas” and Hrithik Roshan’s “Fighter.” Following the success of “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” last year, it was the first love story to hit the big screen. The film was highly anticipated due to its captivating music and dance sequences, the chemistry between the actors, and a compelling love story.And as the film entered its second week, it seems that it has found its balance with the audience for the past four days of the week, the film has consistently collected more than Rs 1.5 crore ( Monday: Rs 2.25 crore, Tuesday Rs 2 crore, Wednesday Rs 1.85 crore and Thursday Rs 1.70 crore) taking the second week collection to Rs 21.65 crore.

However, the film only managed to collect just Rs 44.5 crore in its first week. It began on an underwhelming note as on Friday, it minted only Rs 6.7 crore with Saturday and Sunday showing a spike to collect Rs 9.65 and Rs 10.75 cr respectively. It then dropped majorly on Monday and picked again on Tuesday which was Valentine’s Day, to collect Rs 6.5 crore and on Thursday it collected another Rs 3 crore. The Shahid and Kriti starrer will face stiff competition as Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar’s “Article 370” is releasing, a film even mentioned by PM Narendra Modi in a recent speech. Additionally, Varun Grover’s “All India Rank ” is following closely after the success of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Vikrant Massey’s “12th Fail” and Vidyut Jammwal’s adrenaline-pumping “Crakk: Jeetega… Toh Jiyegaa .”
