The lavish celebrations saw the presence of numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, and others. However, Johar’s absence from the event sparked curiosity among fans and observers alike.
Karan was not only expected to attend the celebrations but was also scheduled to perform at the sangeet alongside his close friend and fashion designer, Manish Malhotra, reports India Today. However, the filmmaker was reportedly struck with a sudden bout of viral illness and throat discomfort at the last moment. In Johar’s absence, Manish Malhotra took over the stage and performed ‘Bole Chudiyaan’ with Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor during the celebrations. The report disclosed that Johar and Malhotra had extensively rehearsed for the performance.
On March 6, Karan shared an adorable video of Radhika’s entry to a reprised version of ‘Dekha Tainu’ from ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and penned, “Heartiest congratulations to Anant and @radhikamerchant!
