“Maine Pyar Kiya” is one of Salman Khan’s most successful movies. It marked the beginning of his career as a romantic hero, and it did really well at the box office. Interestingly, Salman wasn’t the first choice for the lead role. Initially, it was offered to a young actor named Faraaz Khan. However, he got sick after signing the contract, so Salman was brought in as the new lead. Faraaz Khan was the son of Bollywood actor Yusuf Khan, known for working with big stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in the decades of the ’70s and ’80s.
After missing out on “Maine Pyar Kiya,” Faraaz appeared in movies such as “Fareb” and “Mehendi” with Rani Mukerji. However, he didn’t do many films afterward. Unfortunately, Faraaz passed away in 2020 due to poor health. When Salman heard about Faraaz’s illness, he offered financial assistance. Faraaz’s brother expressed gratitude to Salman for his support, stating that they will always be thankful to him.
Salman Khan’s last movie was “Tiger 3,” where he starred alongside Katrina Kaif and Imran Hashmi. Salman Khan will next begin work with Karan Johar for Vishnuvardhan’s The Bull. Lately, there have been many rumors about Salman Khan’s next movies, such as “Kick 2,” “Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2,” and “Dabangg 4.” However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation about these films yet.
