Baba Bakala Deputy Superintendent of Police, Surinderpal Singh, stated that the video in question is two months old, and actions will be taken against the accused.Singh expressed concern over Santokh Singh Sukh’s alleged misuse of the security provided to him, particularly as he runs an organization. Despite instructions not to misuse the security cover, Sukh purportedly disregarded the directive. The DSP also revealed that at least six cases have been filed against Sukh. Additionally, the police are currently investigating threats made against Shehnaaz’s father.
Sukh, Shehnaaz’s father, responded to the Punjab police’s accusation and raised concerns about the timing of the allegations. He questioned why the police waited for two months before making such accusations and suggested that they were only doing so because he made the video public. Sukh expressed disappointment that no action had been taken by the police thus far and accused them of levelling baseless allegations to conceal their lack of action. This statement was reported by Hindustan Times.

He expressed confusion at the contradictory actions of the police, stating that while they claim to be investigating the case, they have also passed a verdict. Sukh further questioned why, if the threat was indeed fake, the police had not registered an FIR against him.
