Arbaaz Khan has an enviable record as a producer, he is the man behind the Dabangg series with Salman Khan and all three of them have been huge successes. He is now backing a content driven film titled ‘Patna Shukla‘, which stars Raveena Tandon and internet sensation Anushka Kaushik in the lead. Arbaaz’s comeback as a producer is happening after a gap of four years, his last film, ‘Dabangg 3‘, released in 2019.
Talking about the gap in his production career, Arbaaz exclusively told ETimes, “Firstly, there was Corona and secondly, a lot of production houses have the compulsion of releasing a couple of films every year. I don’t believe in that philosophy, if I’ve got three great scripts to tell in one year, I’ll tell all of them. But if I don’t have one in three years, I’ll not tell, I don’t have the pressure of running my office or anything like that.”
Arbaaz also revealed that when he’s working as a producer, he keeps his acting assignment on hold. He said , “ When I’m producing a film, I get away from all my other commitments. When I worked on ‘Patna Shukla’, I was extremely involved in it, from production design to casting, to readings, to going on reccees and shooting, that’s how I work. It’s not like Arbaaz liked a script, and he will send off the director to shoot and will see the project after it is edited. I did the same for Dabangg films and Dolly Ki Doli also. Fortunately, in my case, I’m not making a big sacrifice when I’m not doing my acting. As it is not like ‘how can I leave acting?’. A movie takes about 45 days to shoot, I can take out that much time from my schedule, because then I have the entire year for my other projects.”
