Anushka Sharma supports husband Virat Kohli’s decision to quit T20 captaincy after World Cup – Times of India

Virat Kohli announced his decision to quit as India’s T20 captain after leading the team in after the upcoming T20 World Cup in UAE. “I’ve decided to step down as the T20 captain after this T20 World Cup in Dubai in October,” the 32-year-old cricketer had shared in a statement on social media. Expressing support to her husband, Anushka Sharma shared Virat’s statement on Instagram with a heart emoji. After wrapping a tournament in UK, Virat recently arrived in Dubai with Anushka and daughter Vamika for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

After spending nearly two months in London, this popular couple took off to Dubai this week. When in UK, Anushka and Virat had celebrated daughter Vamika’s six-month birthday there. Sharing pictures from their outing, Anushka had penned, “Her one smile can change our whole world around ! I hope we can both live up to the love with which you look at us, little one. Happy 6 months to us three.” During their stay in UK, Anushka had been chilling with Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty, who is rumoured to be dating cricketer KL Rahul.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli turned parents in January this year. The couple has decided to not expose their daughter to social media and paparazzi. Explaining the reason behind the same, Virat had revealed, “We have decided as a couple to not expose our child to social media before she has an understanding of what social media is and can make her own choice.”
