This will be the actor’s first work after seven months of hiatus ever since he was embroiled in a school bullying scandal. Confirming Jo Byeong Kyu’s next project, his agency HB Entertainment has revealed that the actor will be essaying the role of a stunt man named Jeon Woo Suk who wishes to fulfil his dream of becoming an actor in the film.
Keeping further details of the film under wrap, reportedly Jo Byeong Kyu as Jeon Woo Suk will be regaining his physical appearance as a high school student to chase his dream once again.
Jo Byeong Kyu was last seen in OCN’s K-drama ‘The Uncanny Counter’. However, he paused all of his activities after his name was roped in a controversy alleging that he had committed violence against a student during his school days in New Zealand.
Later, his agency revealed in a long statement that the accusers in the case have admitted to lying alongside an official apology for their acts. However, this doesn’t end here, soon after this, an anonymous source claimed that ‘he never wrote a letter of apology’. The case has no recent updates.
Apart from this, in 2018, the actor had faced similar bullying allegations when some claimed that Jo Byeong Kyu had verbally attacked and spat” on the victim who attended elementary and middle school with him. However, the actor had dismissed the accusations.
